The Ghana Chamber of Mines on Sunday announced the appointment of Kenneth Ashigbey as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In a release the Chamber said these appointment underscore a renewed commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth within Ghana’s dynamic mining sector.
Ashigbey brings a diverse portfolio of leadership experience spanning media, technology, infrastructure, and engineering, according to the chamber.
The new CEO is expected to steer the strategic direction of the Chamber, deepen stakeholder engagement, and champion policy advocacy to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of Ghana’s mining industry.
The chamber also announced the appointmnt of Acting CEO Ahmed Dasana Nantogma as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
the chamber said Nantogmah’s appointment to the newly established role of COO reflects its drive to strengthen its operational efficiency.
Nantogma, who has served as the External affairs and Communications Director of the chamber, was in April appointed as Acting CEO when Sulemanu Koney proceeded on retirement.
