MTN Ghana posts over 5-billion- Ghana cedi-profit after tax, proposes 24 pesewas final dividend per share

Tech giants, MTN Ghana ended the year 2024 with a strong financial performance, netting  over 5.03 billion Ghana cedis profit after tax, which represents a 26.3 per cent year-on-year growth from 3.98 billion cedis reported for 2023.

The Board of Directors of the company has, therefore, recommended a final dividend of 0.24 cedis (24 pesewas) per share, compared with 0.17 cedis per share the year before.

Shareholders will meet in the Ghanaian capital of Accra on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025 to approve the proposed dividends, as well as other proposals by the board and management of the company.

 Moreover, over the same period, MTN also recorded 17.95 billion cedis in revenue, representing a 34 per cent year-on-year increase compared with 2023.

The company also paid about 2.58 billion as tax from its total 7.6 billion cedi-profit-before-tax.
