WaCA Mining reschedules 12th edition to April 2027

Organisers of the West & Central Africa Mining Summit & Expo (WaCA Mining), one of the leading mining events in the subregion, on Tuesday announced the rescheduling of its 12th edition for 21st and 22nd April 2027.

In a release, the organisers said the decision followed extensive consultations with strategic partners and stakeholders to ensure the event, hosted in Ghana, is optimally positioned within the international mining calendar and delivers maximum value for all participants.

The move to April 2027, the release said, reflects the commitment of organisers to enhance the overall quality and international reach of the event.

“With the new date, participants will benefit from better alignment with the global mining conference calendar, allowing companies to build upon discussions and investment initiatives established during major international mining events held earlier in the year,” the release added.

Moreover, it said the rescheduling would ensure the increased availability of senior executives and government officials, resulting in stronger high-level participation, as well as greater certainty for international delegates and exhibitors in planning travel and business engagements amidst the evolving global business and travel environment.

Maggie Tan, Conference Director of WaCA, noted that the priority of the organisers has always been to deliver the highest value to our delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and partners.

“Following careful consultation with our stakeholders, we believe that moving WaCA Mining to 21-22 April 2027 will significantly strengthen international participation, create more business opportunities and provide an even more impactful platform for advancing mining investment and sustainable resource development across West and Central Africa,” said Madam Tan.

As one of the leading mining investment and business platforms in West and Central Africa, WaCA Mining brings together mining policymakers, mining companies, development finance institutions, EPC contractors, technology providers, equipment manufacturers, and professional service firms to discuss opportunities and address industry challenges while fostering strategic partnerships, said the release.
