Mobile Money Limited celebrates partners at 2025 Fintech Stakeholder Dinner Awards

Mobile Money Limited (MML) has honoured key partners and stakeholders at the 2025 Fintech Stakeholder Dinner Awards, celebrating excellence, innovation, and collaboration within Ghana’s digital financial ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, Shaibu Haruna, Chief Executive Officer of Mobile Money Limited, praised the achievements of the industry and underscored the transformative role of partnerships in providing financial services to millions of Ghanaians.

“This evening is about celebrating the power of partnership and service excellence,” Haruna said, adding that “together, we are impacting lives and providing dignity to our customers. This we cherish and appreciate.”

He highlighted the critical contributions of partner banks, which ensured seamless transaction flows, and technology providers, whose infrastructure support millions of daily transactions.

He also commended fintech innovators and agents across the country for delivering solutions that address customer pain points.

Reflecting on the journey of Mobile Money,  Haruna noted that the platform began 16 years ago with a simple mission to enable basic transactions such as airtime purchases and money transfers.

Today, he said, the service had evolved into a lifestyle, offering digital literacy, credit, investments, savings, pensions, and other essential financial services.

“The platform’s mission has deepened, driving not just financial inclusion but also supporting the digital economy,” he said.

“We are encouraged by the government’s commitments to Ghana’s digital future, including initiatives like the proposed Digital Growth Fund, which will enhance innovation, data analytics, and financial mobilization for all Ghanaians,” he added.

The CEO explained that the awards aimed not only to recognise outstanding performance on the Mobile Money platform but also to inspire partners to develop stronger, more innovative solutions for customers nationwide.

Recipients were evaluated on performance, customer support, and adoption of advanced technology.

“Tonight, we celebrate those who have excelled on our platform and, by extension, in the industry at large,” Haruna said.

“To all our partners, we thank you for your unwavering commitment. Mobile Money remains dedicated to advancing digital financial solutions and welcomes new ideas to drive the industry forward,” he added.

The awards ceremony ended with the presentation of plaques to deserving partners, followed by celebrations acknowledging the collaborative spirit that continues to shape Ghana’s fintech sector.
